Student Council 2012 - 2013
The mission of the student council is to promote “Monty’s High Five” throughout our school as well as in our local community. We will strive to model good citizenship within the community and act as positive role models for our classmates.

· Seasonal decoration of the community DPW Plow
· Collection of non-perishable items for the local food pantry
· Community grounds clean-up project
· Toys for Tots holiday drive
· Leukemia fundraising coin drive
· Collection of pet food and supplies for the local SPCA shelters
· Participation in the county wide student council “Stockings for Sandy” relief program
School Community Events
· Monthly School Spirit Days to promote unity and cooperation within the school community
· 5th and 6th grade dance funded through PTA support and ongoing fund raising
· Reader’s Theater “Lace up Against Bullying” performance for the student body
